Hello and welcome to my blog. I’m Nellie. I spend a lot of time at the vet.
When I’m not at the vet, I’m barking, wreaking more havoc, and eating more things that will probably land me, where else? Back at the vet.
I have always been strong-willed, opinionated, and hyperactive. My mom loves that about me but she also won’t pay as much attention to me as she used to because she is starting a magazine she says I helped inspire.
I am what they call a field trial labrador. This means that I have more energy than your typical Labrador.
And that’s probably why I took a flying leap out of the back of an oversized SUV just before my 1st birthday and permanently injured my knee and the muscles in my back. I know I’m very lucky to have great doctors who keep me happy, healthy, and so active despite a chronic injury that I sometimes overdo it, and then they get mad at my mom.
But nobody ever gets mad at me.
My favorite thing to do, apart from eating anything, is quail hunting, which is also eating in a way because I often decapitate the birds when I catch them, and swallow their heads.
I hope you enjoy my blog. XOXO Nellie

She’s down a total of almost five pounds, and has five more to go until she reaches her bird-murdering/ideal weight. Nellie’s Vlog […]
Dear Fans, Happy May. I hope this finds you enjoying masked life. Is this face mask thing going to continue through NY Fashion Week? And event season? I have to say, I have really enjoyed watching some of the network news anchors with $40 million per year contracts (which stipulate 2-3 million for hair […]
Dear Fans, Sorry it’s been so long since my last blog post. I was holding out on a hope and prayer that America would re-open on Easter Sunday. I was so excited to update you with my return to Central Park and to the NYPD’s Most Wanted List of Off-Leash Dogs. No such luck: I […]
merry christmas, happy new year! MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! DEAR ADORING FANS! Let’s start with the lede, which is that I made it through the rest of December without another trip to the vet. Okay, well, not counting my weekly physical therapy sessions. I hope I’m not jinxing myself by celebrating this accomplishment […]
